For 25 years, Sales Graphics was located in Chelsea–it almost felt like it had never existed anywhere else before. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, right? The sad news was official this past March: the Chelsea office SG called home was no longer available to us. For a moment, we felt heartbroken. It was our home.

But, as one door closes, another opens. This door opened on 45th Street, between Second & Third Avenues. While we thought we could never replace our Chelsea home, we were wrong. Yes, Chelsea is the center of the art world, whether it’s the endless galleries, antique shops, or design studios you’re looking for.

However, Midtown offered us more than we expected. Besides being easy to commute to, for starters, it’s also the heart of business. Wasn’t it Andy Warhol who said good business is the best kind of art? We have always strived to intertwine both–now this goal has finally manifested itself–in the form of our new office!

In June, we made the big move from our digs in Chelsea to our “Mad Men” inspired office in Midtown. Of course, the move wasn’t easy–we had 25 years of our equipment and material that either had to be packed up, or thrown out. Besides packing and moving (which is bad enough for any New Yorker), the new office needed a serious makeover. Soon, we’ll be hosting a housewarming party to celebrate our new home.

Below are some before-and-after photos of the makeover:

But the move from Chelsea office wasn’t our only one. We’ve had several throughout the years; starting in 1964, we’ve had seven. Our previous locations included:-W. 48th street (right across the street from Manny’s Music)

-19 W 44th in the Berkley building

-211 E 44th

-144 W 44th

-30 Irving Place (in the heart of Gramercy Park!) for 7.5 years

-138 W 25th St

With each location, we’ve grown and evolved in a new way. We’re thankful for our clients and employees for still being here.
