Every year Footwear News announces the best and brightest in business, retail and design. Known to many in the industry as the “shoe oscars,” FNAA honors greatness of designers at their peak as well as talent on the rise. This year’s star-studded shoe winners included Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Richie, Stan Smith and Jimmy Choo. The event was hosted at the Frank Gehry-designed headquarters of IAC located in Chelsea.
In October Sales Graphics was approached by Fairchild Fashion Media (FFM) to produce the video entertainment to accompany this high profile event. SG’s creative designed and produced 13 Award Winner videos, an opening video to wow the audience into their seats and an historic video that gazes back on previous years of fashion delights.
Producing content for one of the largest high-resolution video walls in the world was an exciting challenge. The video wall surface spans 120 feet wide by 11 feet tall and everyday the site is teaming with new work. SG’s creative team worked around the clock to design highly stylized content to match expectations for this black tie event. The video wall filled the screens with bold motion graphics showcasing designer shoe legends and high achievers of 2014.
SG successfully rose to the occasion to produce stunning visuals, bringing to life FFM’s creative vision for this years 2014 achievement awards. FN’s editorial director Michael Atmore and the entire creative team was thrilled with the outcome: “The experience working with Sales Graphics was great, the wall turned out exactly how I wanted it to. Even with extremely last minute changes SG put in the extra effort to get everything done in time, which was incredible.”
