Challenge

With a nationwide sales force located in 14 cities, Fox’s affiliate sales group is more geographically distributed than any other cable network. Additionally, the sales force sells advertising for all of Fox’s 14 networks, making it a challenge to ensure that sales presentations represent each of the networks accurately and appropriately, and are consistent with their branding. The major obstacles that the sales force faced were:

  • Videos were difficult to access and not easily archived
  • There was no uniform process to update presentations and ensure that information was current
There wasn’t an easy way to create, manage, and distribute presentations
Solution

Sales Graphics was engaged to bring its design expertise and presentation management solution, CustomShow, to Fox.  Using CustomShow, Fox was able to create a video library that aggregated the content of their videotapes and DVDs, allowing the sales force to instantly access all necessary video for presentations from a centralized resource.

Because CustomShow is networked, content update and version management issues were easily solved. Information updates quickly distributed among the sales force using File Transfer Protocol (FTP), which avoids file size and firewall problems.

SG Design Studio created 14 animated backgrounds that captured the brand imagery, look, and feel of Fox’s on-air graphics. This ensured that all presentations for each of the networks conveyed the excitement of their content, and were also consistent with the Fox brand.
